Dr. Galstan presents check to Scouts

Dr. Galstan, a 25 year member of the Rotary Club of Chester and the Charter Organization Representative for Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Troop 819 presents a check for $ 1,000 (on behalf of the Rotary Club) to Brian Galusha, Assistant Scoutmaster for BSA Troop 819.

Dr. Galstan attends Annual ADA in Texas – October 2014

In October, 2014, Dr. Galstan attended the Annual Meeting of the American Dental Association.  This year the meeting was held in San Antonio, Texas.  Dr. Galstan served as an Alternate Delegate to the American Dental Association's House of Delegates, a group that helps guide the more than 150,000 members of the American Dental Association.  Dr. Galstan also attended numerous continuing education courses while at this meeting.  Staying current, and learning the newest techniques and procedures are very important to Drs. Galstan & Ward.

Dr. Ward installed at VDA – September 2014

In September, 2014, Dr. Sharone Ward was installed as a Director to the Virginia Dental Association.  She represents the Southside Dental Association on this board of directors.  This board makes decision to guide the more than 2,000 members of the Virginia Dental Association.  Dr. Galstan completed his 8 year term on the board of directors, and was replaced by his wife Dr. Ward.

Dr. Galstan recognized by VDA – September 2014

During September, 2014 Dr. Galstan completed his eighth year on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Dental Association (VDA) and was presented with a Leadership Award from the VDA, and Dr. Ward was inducted as a new member to the VDA Board of Directors (taking over the position previously held by Dr. Galstan).  The VDA Board of Directors help run this association that has over 2,000 member dentists.

Fellowship into ICD – November 1, 2013

Dr. Galstan is pictured receiving his Fellowship in the International College of Dentists (ICD) on November 1, 2013, at the Annual Meeting of the American Dental Association. The ICD is the oldest and largest international honorary dental organization established in 1928 with over 12,000 members
(designated as Fellows) around the globe.
Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only and is granted in recognition of a dentist’s “outstanding professional achievement, meritorious service and dedication to the continued progress of dentistry for the benefit of humankind ”. Prior to being recognized as a Fellow of the ICD, the candidate's qualifications and achievements are evaluated by a series of credential committees in order to insure that he or she is deserving of this high honor and adhere to the ICD motto, goals and objectives.
